This was another excellent book by Dan Brown other than the glitch of the "Flip" iPhone.
I've been a 32nd degree Free Mason and Shriner since 1996. The 33rd degree is an honorary degree given for outstanding service to the community. Actor Ernest Borgnine was a 33rd degree Mason.
Since I became a member, the Masonic order has become more open, less secretive and have been trying to attract younger members. Although I haven't attended lodge in a couple years, the average age of lodge member attendance was 55 to 65.
When I joined, I didn't have to memorize the first, second and third degree ceremonies as my father and grandfather did when they became Masons.
