The character Adell always has her personal data unit and carries it in a special pocket in her Navy uniform, is always ready to look up info on just about anything and does so at a whim. This reminds me of how I frequently use my smart phone. I always have my smart phone in my pocket and regularly look things up on the net, make notes, reply to and write text and email on it.
