Actually, I lost count of how many times I've listened to this book other than the 1st 2 times were a text to speech version using Natural Reader software on a text file downloaded from Project Gutenberg's sci-fi book shelf. The other times were an audio book downloaded from http://Librivox.org. Narration: the 1st chapter was a bit ruff, but in the following chapters narration improves as if the narrator found his rhythm. By the middle of the book, narration was nearly as good as Mark Nelson, another Librivox volunteer and professional narrator.Audio Volume: I've found with all Librivox books that I have to run each file through my audio editor (AVS4you @ http://avs4you.com) and increase the volume 6 to 15 db with an average of 8 to 10 db. I find that if I don't increase the volume, I have a hard time hearing the book on my MP3 player without 100% volume on the player.
